About Karoli Valley Trek

The Karoli valley trek is a beautiful and adventurous trail located near Igatpuri, around 60 km from the town and close to Bhandardara. This trek takes you through lush green forests, rocky paths, flowing streams, and a waterfall that flows upward during the monsoon due to strong winds. The route usually starts at Dehne village and ends near Snadhan valley.

The trek is best enjoyed during the monsoon (June to October) when nature is at its best – water streams are active, the valley is filled with greenery, and the weather is cool. However, it can also be done post-monsoon (November to January) for those who prefer drier conditions. The trek is Easy to moderate and includes crossing streams and uneven terrain.

Karoli Valley is perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers who want to explore offbeat and scenic trails in Maharashtra. It’s a one-day trek that offers a thrilling experience with breathtaking views and a close connection with nature.

Travel Schedule

We’ll be boarding A/C bus from our nearest pickup point. Bus timings are shared below for convenience:

Enroute – Goregaon, Jogeshwari, Powai, Mulund, Thane, Kalyan Phata (On Eastern express highway)

Meeting Point: Borivali West- Gora Gandhi 10:00 pm

Itinerary

Day 1:

• 10:30 PM: Assemble at Borivali Station (West) and begin the journey.
  Pickup points are available along the route – Borivali, JVLR, Thane, and Kalyan.

Day 2:

• 04:00 AM: Arrive at the base village and take some rest.
• 05:00 AM: Wake-up call followed by a light breakfast.
• 06:00 AM: Trek begins after a quick briefing and safety instructions.
• 09:00 AM: Enjoy the scenic jungle trail, flowing streams, and nature along the way.
• 10:00 AM: Begin the return back to the base village.
• 01:00 PM: Reach the base and enjoy a delicious local lunch.
• 02:30 PM: Start return journey to Mumbai.
• 08:30 PM: Reach Mumbai tentatively and bid adieu with a promise to meet soon.

Event Fee: Rs.1,590/- per person. Payment once done is non-refundable, do check for availability before making a payment.

Includes

The cost per head includes the following.

• Bus travel from Mumbai to Mumbai
• Breakfast and Lunch at base village
• Local guidance
• First aid and first responder assistance in case required
• MPA administration charges if any
• Do read our terms and conditions before registration

Cost Excludes

• All kinds of extra meals / soft drinks ordered.
• Insurance, tips, porters, bottled mineral water, aerated drinks etc.
• Any kind of personal expenses.
• Any kind of cost which is not mentioned in the cost includes above.
• All expenses incurred due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances like road blocks, bad weather.

Things to carry

• Some ready to eat food like- plum cakes, fruits, chocolates, biscuits, etc
• 2 Litres of water must
• Good trekking shoes
• Extra pair of clothes, socks optional
• Cap, Camera as Optional
• 1 packet of electrol, enerzal, glucon-D
• Medications if required for individual
• Avoid wearing precious ornaments on an event, if possible
• And a haversack or backpack to put all the above things to be carried, so hands are free to help each other while trekking. Sling bags / jholas / trolley bags etc not allowed on the event. Please pack accordingly.

Important Notes

• Basic toilet facility will be available at the base village. Considering it is an outdoor activity, please prepare accordingly.
• We advise participant with any medical issues /history not to opt for this event. Still If he/she does so, it should be at the participant’s risk. The management won’t be responsible for any incident.
• Considering complicated route and respecting everyone’s time, we will not entertain any participant reaching base village by his/her own vehicle. One can come till meeting point by his/her vehicle and park it there and join our transport from there.
• Smoking/drinking/smoke up is strictly prohibited during the event. Anyone found doing so will be immediately expelled from the event.
• We request you to go through the complete itinerary. Since it is a group event, we will not be in position to entertain any request of leaving early from the event. Respecting the fellow trek buddies, please adhere to the schedule and take back lovely memories.
