More About Shirpunje Bhairavgad & Ghanchakkar Trek
Shirpunje Bhairavgad Fort, a major highlight of this twin-trek experience, stands proudly near the quaint village of Shirpunje. Rising to about 4,035 feet (1,145 m), the fort rewards trekkers with sweeping views of the majestic Sahyadri ranges. The trail is known for its rugged rock-cut sections, forested paths, sharp ridges, and the iconic long ladder ascent that adds a thrilling twist to the climb.
Along the route, you’ll encounter raw volcanic rock formations and impressive cliff edges that showcase the wild charm of this region. Once at the summit, the peaceful Bhairavnath Temple offers a calming and spiritual end to this adrenaline-filled trek.

Departure on: 29 November Saturday at 10:00 PM from Mumbai
Trek cost: 1,390 Rs.

Schedule:
Day 1: (Saturday)
9:00 PM: Meet at Borivali Station and proceed with other pickups.
Day 2: (Sunday)
4:00 AM: Reach the base village, Shirpunje, and rest for a while.
5:00 AM: Have breakfast and start the trek towards Bhairavgad.
7:00 AM: Reach the top of Bhairavgad and explore the fort.
8:30 AM: Start descending to the midpoint and begin the ascent to Ghanchakkar Fort.
10:30 AM: Reach Ghanchakkar Fort.
11:00 AM: Start descending to the base village.
1:30 PM: Reach the base village and enjoy lunch.
2:30 PM: Start your return journey to Mumbai with memories for a lifetime.
Note: We might skip Ghanchakkar Fort or cover it only halfway if time does not permit.
