About Kedarkantha Trek
Kedarkantha is a trek blushing with beauty, giving photographers a perfect opportunity to capture the snow falling from the pine trees that looks like magic dust. The ‘I rule the world’ pose at the top of Kedarkantha trek Summit will make a wonderful profile pic and with stunning views in the backdrop, it will make your friends jealous too! Experience the lovely campsites, where every site is unique in its own way and does not match the beauty with any other campsites in the journey.
Get a chance to camp around frozen Juda ka Talab where was once a place for meditation of Lord Shiva. Experience walking in the middle of the night in, the head torches lighting the way and watching the sunrise from the top of a mountain before you reach Summit.
Kedarkantha trek is such a popular winter trek that it would be apt to entitle it as the Queen of Winter Treks. Knee-deep snow in winters, mesmerizing view from the top, and the beautiful and easy trails make it popular among trekkers. The ‘easy on endurance’ trail goes through the thick pine forests of Govind National Park. The views from the top are worth climbing to an altitude of 12,500 ft. Kedarkantha trek will give you an inimitable view of the cosmic sky, lush meadows, snow paths, charming villages, scented pine forest, sky-knocking peaks, tranquil rivers, and some mythological story whispers.

Day 1: Mumbai / Pune – Delhi | 19 Jan 23
- Will Catch the train 12247BDTS NZM YUVA EX from Mumbai at 05:30 PM
Day 2: Delhi to Dehradun | 20 Jan 23
- Delhi free time for Self exploration
- Take the train 12401KOTA DDN AC EXP from Delhi at 11:50 PM
Day 3: Arrival at Sankri (Altitude: 6,400 feet) | 21 Jan 23
- Reporting Point: Dehradun Railway Station at 6 am
- Expected arrival time at Sankri – 5:00 pm
- BSNL network erratic
- 220 km drive – approx 10 hours
Day 4: Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab (Altitude: 6,400 feet to 9,100 feet) | 22 Jan 23
- 4 kms trek, approx 5 hours
- The trail passes through dense pine forests, maple trees, few streams and finally opens out to beautiful meadows
- Stay in tents
Day 5: Juda-ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base (Altitude: 9,100 feet to 11,250 feet) | 23 Jan 23
- 4 kms trek, approx 2.5 hours
- Most of today’s trail is on a ridge, under oak trees
- You will also pass through some meadows where you can spot shepherd log huts
- Peaks :- Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag and Ranglana stand among the others
- Stay in tents
Day 6: Kedarkantha base to Kedarkantha peak; descend via Hargaon to Juda Ka Talab (Altitude: 11,250 feet to 12,500 feet to 8,900 feet) | 24 Jan 23
- 6 kms trek, approx 7 hours
- Spend some time at the summit and descend back to the base camp by noon for lunch
- Post lunch, descend down via Hargaon
- Reach Juda Ka Talab by evening
- Stay in tents
Day 7: Juda Ka Talab to Sankri | 25 Jan 23
- Altitude: 8,900 feet to 6,400 feet
- 6 kms trek, approx 4 hours
- Descend 2500 feet through dense pine forests
Day 8: Departure day (Sankri to Dehradun) Distance: 220 km drive, approx 10 hours | 26 Jan 23
- You will be dropped at Dehradun Railway Station
Day 9: Reach Delhi early Morning & depart for Hometown | 27 Jan 23
- Reach Delhi early morning. (Approx. at 03:00 AM)
- Return Train will be 12215 Bdts Garib Rathfrom Delhi at 8:55 AM
Day 10: Reach Mumbai / Hometown | 28 Jan 23
- Reach hometown with Memories for Lifetime

- Participants will be responsible for their own belongings and health issues.
- Avoid wearing gold or other costly jewellery.
- Smoking and Drinking are strictly prohibited.
- Keep in mind we are going for Camping, so maintain discipline and follow the leader’s instructions for your own safety.
- In case, due to some unavoidable conditions (like natural disaster, change in government or local authorities policy etc) the event gets cancelled before/on the event date or during trek, Trek fees will be refunded except nominal expenses which are already spent till that point.
