The meeting point was Kasara where everyone was supposed to reach by midnight. From there, we went to the base village in a jeep. After a short round of introductions and knowing each other, our trek started (around 2AM) under sky glittering by stars. Along with the stars, our torch came handy to light the trail. We walked through narrow path with dense woods on either sides. After around an hour and half of brisk walking, we reached the base of fort. It was still dark and the faces were visible only by pointing torch on them.
We took a long break to relax in the pleasant surrounding gazing stars. With the first light in the dawn, we started to ascend to reach the summit before sunrise. The trail made us do everything; we plodged through rocks, climbed steps, crawled our way forward. The sweet result of the hard work was the beautiful sunrise and breathtaking scenery all around. After clicking pictures, a lot of them, we had snacks while still lost in the surrounding. I was still soaking the feeling of completing my first night trek, it was time to descend back.
Our trek ended after stomach full of Poha and Tea served by trek leaders. Treak leaders (Swapnil, Girish, Shrikant) took a great care of every small aspects of the trek. It was a wonderful experience with loads of memories.
Kudos to MPA team.
